It's been a while. I guess a lot has happened since my last post. The biggest thing that has happened is my heart has been officially fixed! Yay! And this go around has been so much better than the "trial" run. I can walk which I most certainly wasn't doing so well before.
It's amazing what doctors can do with a tiny little tube. They can make a couple tiny little holes in a persons leg. Then guide a couple tubes up to their heart, while they are awake I might add. Then put in a device to fix a big hole in their heart. All without cracking their chest, putting them to sleep, admitting them to the hospital, or even sending them home with a prescription for anything. Talk about crazy.
By day number 2 of being home I was ready to do something fun. I went for a couple walks with Ben and Maddison. Worked on my coupons. Did some laundry. I was loving life. Then the migraines started. You know it's bad when you are taking pain pills and they aren't helping. So that has been a set back. However it's also a very good sign that the hole is healing. And a good sign that the migraines have been caused by the hole in my heart. So here's to a speedy recovery and no more migraines!
