The Simple Truth

I got picked to try the new line of Simple Truth organic products by Bzz Agent.  I had never tried anything like the Blackberry Pomegranate soda.  It actually has juice in it.  And it tastes great.  My husband kept drinking mine, and I didn't really want to share.  I'm also not big on things like protein or health bars.  I don't usually care for the taste of them.  However the Fudge Graham Nutrition Bar was extremely good.  I was sad to share that one too.  I also got to try the Natural Sweet Potato Chips.  They surprised me as well.  They weren't nearly as salty as other chips, and they were made from actual sweet potatoes.  The Vanilla Almond Milk is really good in smoothies.  (I made a kale smoothie with about a cup of the Almond Milk, 1 or 2 fuji apples, a banana, about a cup of chopped kale and about a cup of ice.  It tastes great and is really good for you)  And the Berry Medley was delicious in fruit parfaits.  These are really great products made for Kroger and found at your local Smith's.  You can check out all the great products and information about Simple Truth here.

These products are organic so they are free from pesticides and are grown more naturally.  Obviously this is a healthier way to eat, but can be really expensive.  Now that Kroger has it's own line it's a whole lot more affordable.  Plus if you have a Smith's savings card you can often find coupons on their website for products like these.  You just load it to your card and the savings come off at the register.

Don't forget to check out Bzz Agent if you'd like to be able to try products like these for free like I was able to.

A Great Way to Escape!

Wow, I got a great sampling opportunity from Bzz Agent.  I got to try 6 flavors of Cafe Escapes for free.  These are for your Keurig.  You can get a ton of varieties.  There is something for everyone. And I still have a few high value coupons if you'd like one.  They expire at the end of the month.

My sampling pack included Milk and Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoas, Cafe Caramel, Cafe Vanilla, Chai Latte and Cafe Mocha.  These are great they are in little pods that you pop into your Keurig brewer and you've got a great hot beverage ready to enjoy.  These are all nice and sweet so you don't even need to add syrups, sweeteners or creamers.  I'm a huge sweet fan and these aren't overly sweet which is great since I'm trying to cut back on my sugar intake.  I really like how easy these are to make.  It sure makes it easy to have an escape any time you're in the mood.

These are made by Green Mountain Coffee which is a great company that I have blogged about in the past.  For more information check out Cafe Escapes.  Also if you'd like to sample great products check out Bzz Agent.

Delicious Veggie Burgers

These spicy black bean burgers are delicious!  I know you're thinking how can a veggie burger be good.  But these take the cake.  Even my 2 year old loves them.  I love the taste and how fast and easy they are to make.  You can grill them, cook them on the stove or in the microwave.  I didn't care for them cooked in the microwave as much, they got a bit chewy.  But if that's all you have it would work.

It's really great that you can get in a bunch of veggies at lunch and have something that's easy and tastes great.  My personal favorite is the spicy black bean burgers.  They have more flavor that the original burgers.  I like to add a little bit of Worcestershire sauce when I cook them, and some bbq sauce when they are cooked.  Plus they are nice and filling.  I still have 1 coupon left if you'd like to give them a try.  They come in boxes of 4 or 8 at the grocery store, or you can buy them in larger boxes at places like Costco.  I like the smaller boxes because they are packaged 2 per bag.  Then I can keep the other ones fresh easier.

I got to try these free because I'm a Bzz Agent. You should check them out if you'd like to read more about this Bzz Campaign, or if you'd like to become a Bzz Agent like me.

Sweet Winter Relief

I got picked to try out Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream by Bzz Agent.  I have to say I love this hand cream!  For those of you who know me, you know that my hands crack and bleed in the winter.  Especially when we have extra cold winters like this year.  I love that I can use a very small amount to provide protection for my hands and nails.  I got a 2 oz size and several trial sizes free in my Bzz Kit.  I was skeptical at first because the 2 oz size is supposed to be good for a couple hundred uses.  In the past I've always used large amounts because my skin is so dry and I needed relief.  However I've found that I really do only need a very small amount to help my hands feel better.

I also really like that I can put it on my cracked, irritated skin and id doesn't sting my hands like other lotions I've tried.  My 2 year old also has really dry skin.  I've been putting this on her face, hands and body to help her as well.  I've also tried it as a lip balm and it works extremely well.  I highly recommend giving Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream a try.  I'll definitely continue using this.

This is my before picture.  You can see that my skin is really dry and peeling.

This is after using the hand cream for a few weeks.  I have been keeping one in my purse and one on my bedside table.  I wash my hands a ton so I feel like I need to apply it a few times a day.

Don't forget to check out Bzz Agent if you'd like to be able to try and review products like these too.

Lean Cuisine Salad Additions

I was able to try the new Lean Cuisine Salad Additions free through Bzz Agent.  I tried 2 of the 4 varieties.  I tried the Southwest Style Chicken and the Cranberry Chicken varieties.  I liked the Cranberry Chicken one better, mainly because of the dressing.  I didn't love either of them.  This past month I've been focusing on eating healthier.  I have been making salads at home with lots of fresh veggies and fruits and homemade dressing.  I'm not a huge fan of hot meats and veggies on my salad so this wasn't the best fit for me.  If I was short on time and working away from home I might consider these.  However for now I'd rather make my own salad, or buy a salad kit in the produce section.

Stella Artois

I got an awesome Chalice from Bzz Agent. It was for the Stella Artois Bzz Campaign.  Obviously it is illegal to get free beer in Utah as they have some very strict drinking laws.  It was also a little difficult to come by this beer as you can only purchase it at a state owned liquor store.  That's because it's considered a high point beer. This also means you can't get it on tap here.

So I found it in a liquor store here so we could give it a try. I'm not a huge beer drinker, however my husband is.  So I thought he would be the perfect one to test it out.  We followed the 9 step pouring ritual (our beer had too much head so we need a little more practice).  You can check out the 9 step pouring ritual here.  My husband thought it was an ok beer overall.  It's just not what he normally prefers.  However next time we are out of state I'll make sure to pack the chalice so he can try it out on tap (that could make a huge difference).

For some reason I can't get a picture to load on here today.  I'll try later, or you can check the pictures out on my facebook or twitter accounts.

Don't forget to check out Bzz Agent if you'd like to try free products just for reviewing them.

Private Selections

Over the holidays my family and I were able to try Private Selections.  You can buy it at your local Smith's or Kroger store.  As with most other people I thought this was just another generic product.  However after trying it I'm hooked.  This is way better quality than you would get from a generic labeled product.  It's gourmet food without the expensive price tag.  Check out what all I got in my Bzz Kit from Bzz Agent in the picture below.

I also got several coupons to try some other foods for free and some discount coupons.  I still have a couple discount coupons left, they expire in just over a week so let me know if you'd like one too.

With my free products I got some marinara sauce and made some delicious squash ravioli.  I was really impressed with how good this bottled sauce tasted.  I usually doctor up my sauces if I get them out of a bottle or can.  This however was seasoned to perfection and I didn't have to do anything but warm it up.  We also were able to get some free garlic stuffed olives which are to die for.  The cheese we tried out for free also was amazing too.  In fact the cheese is over in the deli with all the other high quality cheeses.  My family and I all loved each of the products we've tried so far.  I highly recommend heading to your nearest Smith's or Kroger to try them out for yourselves.  You won't be disappointed.

Also before you head to Smith's make sure you look on their website.  You can add coupons to your shoppers card.  It's great because you don't have to clip the coupons.  You can also go to Saving Star and register your savings card.  Then you can load these coupons to your card.  This is an added way to save.  When you purchase the item it will add the amount of the coupon to your "bank".  Then you can cash them out when you get up to $5.00 or more.  I've cashed in over $15 with Amazon gift cards.  Happy shopping, let me know what you think and what recipes you try out!
